Degree Guidelines

Academic degree guidelines and requirements for Brown University are established by the Brown Faculty as a voting body and by the Corporation of the University.

At Brown University, education for the undergraduate has as its purpose the fostering of the intellectual and personal growth of the individual student.
Programs are available for the following advanced degrees: master of arts, master of fine arts, master of public health, master of science, master of medical science, master of arts in teaching, doctor of philosophy, and doctor of medicine.
