Course Information

The Office of the Registrar has resources designed to assist faculty with class enrollment, course proposals, course offerings and other essential course-related tasks.

Program Information

To submit a proposal for a new undergraduate or graduate level (masters and terminal graduate certificate) program or to modify a program which already exists in the Bulletin, please use the Brown Curriculum Management tool. You can access the site using your Brown credentials.

Classroom assignments are made based on a number of factors including course enrollment (actual and projected based on historical trends), physical attributes of spaces in relation to instructional requests and availability based on total number of offerings in a given time slot.
On the rare occasion when consulting with the instructor does not resolve the concern, students may appeal to the chair of the department.
The University Bulletin of Brown University serves as the historical reference document for the general curriculum, academic requirements, and other pertinent information for a specific academic year for Brown University and is published as of a specific date and updated regularly throughout the academic year for course information.

Data Request Form

Please complete and submit this form for any data request needs (reports, internal academic records) that the Registrar's Office can provide for your department.

As a reminder, data requests must be justified as fulfilling a legitimate educational need and must be specific to the department making the request. The Office of the Registrar does not entertain student requests for data. In addition, data requests by individual faculty members must have departmental support as well as senior administrative support.
