Our Services

The Office of the Registrar serves as custodian of all student records in accordance with university policies and government statutes and manages the student information system for all areas related to enrollment/registration, course information and scheduling, grading/transcript production and ultimately degree clearance and certification.

The Office of the Registrar serves as the custodian for all credit-bearing academic records for all current and former Brown University students.
Classroom assignments are made based on a number of factors including course enrollment (actual and projected based on historical trends), physical attributes of spaces in relation to instructional requests and availability based on total number of offerings in a given time slot.
Discover essential course enrollment information to build and manage your academic schedule.
Academic degree guidelines and requirements for Brown University are established by the Brown Faculty as a voting body and by the Corporation of the University.
The University Scheduling Office, within the Office of the Registrar, is responsible for scheduling all credit-bearing courses, as well as non-academic events, meetings, practices, lectures, and conferences.
A period at the close of each semester is provided for final semester examinations for those courses for which such an examination is scheduled. Two examination periods are held each day.
